All you have to do is take me on a date, Rene. That’s all.

I have standards.
Blaise laughed and nudged him with her shoulder. “What’s up, babe? You seem kind of down. Ever since we got here, you’ve been in your room or in a corner not talking to anyone. At least not that I’ve seen.” Blaise took a bite from one of her macarons and looked up at him. He didn’t seem like his usual self, he was being more bland than usual and that bothered her. Digging her toes deeper into the sand, she handed him the box of macarons and made her way closer to the water. “You’re being absolutely no fun which means that I’m going to have to have it all by myself.” She winked at him and turned to run towards the crashing waves.
“I haven’t been down,” Rene argued. “I talked to Alex the night we got here. When you and Jackie had your little fight. You two worked that out, right? Alex and I were going to break you two apart,” Rene shook his head and laughed dryly. “Ouch, I’m being no fun?” Rene pretended to pout. Once Blaise had run into the water, he set the box down in the sand. Running up behind her, he picked her up and carried into the water before setting her down and splashing water on her. “How’s that for fun?” He grinned and ran a hand through his increasingly wet hair. “I promise nothing is wrong, Blaise. Nothing to worry about,” he said.

Like yours is better.
Blaise rolled her eyes and grabbed a box of macarons off the counter. “Fine, let’s go. And someone should find that little asshole, I don’t know why we tolerate him.” Taking his hand in hers, she led them down the balcony steps and towards the beach. “So, what have you been up to? I haven’t talk to my best friend in weeks. You should really call me more often, I might admit to missing you.” She threw her head back and laughed, digging her bare toes into the sand. It was nice to have Rene around to talk to, he was one of the few people in the house that she told everything to. Slipping her hand out of his grasp, she opened the lid on the box and narrowed her eyes. “Did you take one? If you did, I don’t care. I swear to God, if it was Landon..”
Rene simply shrugged, “I’d like to think there’s something of value within him. But I have my doubts considering he’s just as bad as Peter. Although, surprisingly I like Landon a lot more than I like Peter. I wonder why that is.” It felt nice to be out of the nose because as big as it was, it was starting to feel suffocating with the diverse personalities each of the guests had. “I didn’t take one. You know me, macarons aren’t really my things. Now if you had asked if I took say your brownies or skittles, well…” He laughed. “It probably was him. He seems to live for pushing everyone’s buttons. Teach him a lesson. Set his hair on fire, I don’t care,” he shrugged.
Well then the beach it is. Dinner, already? Wow. Okay, yeah dinner it is. Even though I’m sure we’ll be eating again soon. Should we trust Landon around the grill?
Rene let out a small laugh. It seemed easy to forget that Blaise wasn’t one to keep track of time. “I guess we can leave the handling of time to Ellie, right?” He shook his head and laughed again. “See, I wouldn’t trust Landon around anything. Where’s he been anyway? Last I saw him, he was drowning himself in a couple of martinis. Alex and I can supervise,” he smiled. “We’ll just go to the beach, yes? Even though I know your appetite is bigger than mine. Which I’ve always failed to understand,” he teased.
Oh my god, finally someone. I was beginning to think you all died. [Grabs his arm] Come on.
Lucky for you, some of us can’t die. Where are you dragging me to today, babe?
Any and everywhere. I need to get out this house, shall we do lunch? I’ll drag you down to the beach if you’re a good boy.

I’m always a good boy. At least with you. Lunch? Sounds more like dinner to me but I’m starving.
Good afternoon.
